OpenFaaS (“Functions as a service”) is a serverless framework for Docker & Kubernetes. The project is led by Alex Ellis. With OpenFaaS you can deploy containers to your system and have them execute and return results on demand, scaling up as necessary. Applications deployed on this system include Finnian Anderson’s image colorisation system that uses underlying machine learning libraries and deploys capacity in a scalable fashion. A recent release is 0.9.6 of September 26, 2018.
