Gitea is a “painless self-hosted Git service” written in Go. Gitea allows you to host your own code, with integration on git, issue and pull request tracking, and even a built-in wiki. The current release is 1.5.1 as of September 3, 2018. All downloads come with SQLite, MySQL and PostgreSQL support, and are built with embedded assets.

Gitea is a well-maintained fork of the open source gogs project, and shares its design.

The goal of this project is to make the easiest, fastest, and most painless way of setting up a self-hosted Git service. With Go, this can be done with an independent binary distribution across ALL platforms that Go supports, including Linux, macOS and Windows, even on architectures like ARM or PowerPC.
